I have pursued two main lines of research in my career so far: 1) Applications of AI and Machine Learning in Assistive Robotics and Autonomous Vehicles and 2) Music Technology.
My research in robotics draws ideas from cognitive science, robotics, and control theory to develop algorithms for shared-control human-machine systems in the assistive and rehabilitation domain. In particular, my work is at the nexus of human-centric algorithm design, human-robot interaction modeling, and intent estimation for enhancing the quality of human-machine teams. You can find more about my research in this space can be found here.
My work as a music technologist focuses on the development of algorithmic systems for enhancing the musical abilities of robotic and digital musicians and software for creative musical applications. More details on my research in music technology can be found here.
